St. Joseph North Pier Light by Joe Nathan NV 2001

Built in 1832 & new lights put in 1907. First two lights on Lake Michigan, both lights still in operation and is one of the few remaining Pier Range Light Systems on the Great Lakes. The Lighthouse is features on a postage stamp.

Mark Island, Maine. Built in 1857, 26 foot tall white square tower.

Media: Imprint with Adirondack Espresso & Archival Mustard Ink Pads, Pastel Pencils & Soft Pastel in sky and sealed with matte fixative. I used a different approach with the water, by using Adirondack Espresso for the Water Pattern and then colored in with Pastel Pencils in Yellow and combination of Ice Green & Cyan Blue.
