The Stampscapes® 101: 12-Step Thumbnail Grid, Nakagawa Lesson
Winter

Country Chapel-215G was stamped in black. Trees from the right side of the image were stamped to the left of the chapel to fill in the blank area.

Cloud w/Rising Moon Lg.-198G was stamped. Dark blue was applied to the rubber, and using a light blue pen, streaks were applied to add variation to the impression.

Ranger Industries Sea Shells Cloudy Blue was applied with the Tonal Applicator-084E (T.A.). This is a light color and provides a good foundation tone. Some color was applied to the moon, but it was mostly left the color of the paper. In the end result, I want it to be, largely, the brightest things in the scene --the light source.

Rangers Sea Brights Pool was applied with the T.A.

Marvy Light Blue #10 was applied with the T.A.

Rangers Sea Brights Sailboat Blue was applied with the T.A.

Rangers Adirondak Denim was applied with the T.A.

Black was used on the corners of the page using the T.A. Sometimes, if you have images stamped in black, black around the edges or on the corners of a scene provides a continuity and/or containment of the scene.

A Colorbox Frost White pigment ink was dabbed on the scene with the use of a cotton swab. I wanted a misty feel to a snow covered ground and some soft edges on the clouds.

Frost White pigment ink was used on Crooked Limb-097E and stamped twice as a hanging limb.

Crooked Limb-097E was stamped again using a Memories Black ink pad. I went with the Memories pad as the ink is pretty thick, and it seems to stamp over pigment inks just fine.

A white gel roller pen was used to add ice/snow dots on the trees behind the chapel, hanging branches, clouds, and ground.
